Who works on things?

I know Keith is a range rat on occasion. Anyone else find any value in hitting a bunch of balls on the range? Sometime I'll hit a bucket before a round at Northern Hills. I think it's mostly because I get up around 4 or 5 in the morning and can't stay quiet in the house. I wander around and scratch myself. The house is so quiet any little fart sounds like a bugle at revelry. So off to the range I go.

I try and hit mostly wedges at the hundred yard sign. Or I'll take an 8 iron and try knock down shots. That usually lasts about 1/2 bucket. Then the stupid part starts. I pull out my driver and TRY and hook the ball or TRY and slice the ball.

Remember, you can only get better with practice - so "be careful"!

tick, tick, tick

After totally abandoning the Dostal Blog for 6 months - I'm back!

Horse walks into a bar.....

Bartender says "Why the long face?"

Observations.....

I'll be completely surprised if Rusty makes the trip to Chillicothe in April. He was always hit and miss when living in Stewartville and playing golf at Soldiers Field.

I'll also be surprised if Jeff Anderson doesn't puke in the parking lot and receive a call within 15 minutes from his wife about that very topic.

A memory that leaves me smiling. After a 8 hour trip in the motor home all the way through the snowstorm, passing the Legacy in Des Moines and playing in brutally cold weather in Chillicothe - my favorite memory is of Bob Monahan dumping out the piss bucket in the parking lot without a second thought.

Rumor has it Dave Dostal will be joining us this year. Weather permitting. Good to hear. Much to scarce that last couple years both in Chillicothe and Rochester.

More later.

Be sure to drop me a line if you stumble onto the blog again.
