After struggling at Northern Hills last Saturday, Andy Larsen shot an 80 at Soldiers Field on Wednesday. Just missing shooting his age by missing a putt on 18.
Oakie shot a 72 Wednesday. Keith Peterson went the other direction posting a 86. One day at a time buddy!

Tom Bernstorf parred every hole on the back nine at Northern Hills on Saturday. His team swept. Gerry, Tom, Steve Greseth and Tim Dunlap.
Feat of the week? How about Ken Hagan getting a par on #16 at Soldiers last Wednesday with a lost ball! Lost ball. Back to the tee. Drives the green and makes the putt for a smooth 4. Well done. By the way, Gerry got a skin on that hole with a net two.

Jim got me twice last night after our round at Soldiers Field. First he mentioned that he took a 10 on hole 13 and "the club never left my hands". I had mentioned earlier that I'd lightly tossed a six iron on 13. He asked me what I got on the hole and I fessed up to a bogey - 5.
The second instance was during a discussion of Carlos Gomez, the centerfielder for the Twins, I said I had underwear older than him. Jim quickly responded "and browner than him".
I've given Jim a couple of cd's over the past year to try out. I'm thinking he's tossing them out the window on the way home. Although he did mention he doesn't like Yonder Mountain String Band. A few weeks back I gave him a Wilco cd. Haven't heard his review on that one yet.
